О фильме: 1943 год. Накануне наступления Красной Армии группа капитана Белова, в которую входит Иван Родин, случайно обнаруживает у села Анино замаскированную танковую дивизию. Разведчики понимают, что только они знают об устроенной немцами засаде. Раненный Белов приказывает Ивану дойти до советского командования и предупредить их об опасности. Он докладывает штабу об увиденных танках и даже воспроизводит тактический номер дивизии, но командование фронта ему не верит – указанную танковую дивизию немцев обнаружил другой разведчик, Одинцов, в сотне километров от Анино. Подозревая Ивана в дезинформации и работе на немцев, его арестовывают. Полковник Алёшин пытается спасти друга: благодаря его настойчивости, командование решает отправить ещё одну группу к Анино – проводником становится Иван, а руководит отрядом Одинцов. Дойдя до села, группа капитана обнаруживает неожиданную находку.
