По сюжету разведгруппа, выполняя задачу, ловит мальчика Марко, который рассказывает о побеге из плена. Немцы держат цыганских детей в госпитале и используют их как доноров крови. Разведчики спасают детей из плена и прячут их в подвале школы, где учитель уже укрывает другие семьи цыган. Но вскоре фашисты узнают об этом убежище и решают идти на штурм.
